Selfie 2

Selfies are one of the biggest hits on Instagram. Follow Me @monicchic! Ill totally follow you back if you are all nice and not rude.  Here is another church fashion tip on how to look chic and at the same time respectful.  To me being respectful at Church is very important as a practicing Catholic by myself. I will always continue to pray and go to Church every Sunday even when Im already working. I will influence my own children that way in the future.

This look is a 50's inspired in a modernized way. Decades always come back from time to time. Fashion is like a back and forth time machine. These midi skirts has been a really big hit now a days especially here in Singapore and with fashion bloggers. But I decided to style it in my very own way as always, not wearing the same outfits as everyone else.  You can also dress like this going to school since its not a big distraction. This is also one of my back to school fashion tips as I know you all are going back to reality in September.

This Selfie mesh paneled tee is from Bugis Street that was only SGD$ 15.

This fringed clutch is from H&M for only SGD$ 20 on sale.

I am wearing a new chain connected bangle from Forever 21 that was only SGD$ 17.

This floral black and white skirt is from Bugis street that was only SGD$ 20 on sale.  They have one whole wide selection at a good price.

XOXO!,

Jump In the Net

Jump in the net while going to work! It was great being very comfortable in a net at work today (the whole day), fixing clothes, sweeping and dealing with sales. This is my way of not being everybody but still being able to blend.  I am also very happy to have found many unique clothes at Bugis Street which is the most affordable shopping place in Singapore, if you are looking for anything cheap. That is the only place I go crazy at.

Its fun these days to mix and match for your fashion job, if business suits are not mandatory to wear but still look presentable at work, don't look too loud or sloppy.  Express your edge and don't be anyone else but your self. You will be a fashion leader that way and not follow what everyone else wears.

This net blazer here is from Bugis Street that was only SGD$ 25 on sale.  I decided to match it with my River Island number tank and I love how number tees are still in fashion this year.

This caged belt is from BCBG Max Azira at ION Orchard for only SGD$ 45 from the clearance section.

This new graphic clutch is from Marc By Marc Jacobs at Raffles City for only SGD$ 50 (sale). Clutches with no handles are the most popular purses nowadays, seeing many people carry them on the trains and at school.

These leather pants are from H&M for only SGD$ 10 on the sales rack.

Express your edge!,

Moschino | Resort/Spring Summer 2015 Full Fashion Show | Exclusive

Moschino once again continues with its quirky fashion designs and edgy as well. Im glad that Jeremy Scott is now a full time designer for Moschino, using everything in a humans daily life like food product packaging. With the Moschino products itself, Ive noticed that they are constantly using a lot of chains and dollar signs.  I love how the mesh cover ups are paired with the swimsuits.  Those can be totally paired with any outfit even though its not for the beach or anywhere tropical.  I also like how their labels on their bags are dangling from the chains.  It makes their purses more unique and edgy at the same time. No other brand has done that before and Id love to own a Moschino bag like that someday and also a chain belt.  The net harem pants and skirts are also beyond stylish and I think they will be very popular as Ive also seen something like that in Chanel Cruise 2015.  Their logo graphic tees are also the best ones so far with a great edge.

For the mens Spring.summer 2015, I see a lot of dark blue and bright yellow. So I predict that those are going to be the main colors next summer.

Making-of the CHANEL Fall-Winter 2014/15 Haute Couture Collection

Its always great watching behind the scenes of designers, see how hard they work, having their dresses hand made and beading the embroidery. We all can never go wrong with Haute Couture.  It has been around ever since CoCo Chanel started the brand.  It was really awesome to see their hands working up close with all the hard work or beading the whole garment. I see that these are seriously not at all easy to make and they normally take a long time to hand stitch. Normally when it comes to having your garments made, you need at least 6 months before the season or even earlier.  They need to be showcased 5 months before you actually release them.

I was really impressed seeing this video of the constructing of the Haute Couture 2014 collection. The show also turned out really well. Remember, hard work always pays off.   The result of Haute Couture is always a work of art. Its like bringing on the bling.

Stripes with florals

Prints don't always have to match, just have fun and play around with monochrome and colorful. I decided to go to work in a moto jacket with a maxi skirt due to the mall being very cold. To keep up with Fall/Winter 2014, I decided to wear a dark red skirt today with a striped moto jacket. This is where once again edgy meets flirty.

This striped moto jacket is from Forever 21 that was only USD$ 23.   My Skulls and crosses necklace is from TOPSHOP that was only SGD$ 9 on sale.

My bra tank top is from UNIQLO that was only SGD$ 12.90 on sale. Those tops are the most comfortable and convenient. At least you can wear a bra top if your bras are still in the laundry.

I am wearing this new maxi skirt from Bugis Street that was only SGD$ 15. Sometimes it great shopping there for unique items besides City Plaza.

These new floral creepers are from Plain jane at Far East Plaza, Orchard Road for for only SGD$ 25 on sale. Im glad I finally got shoes like these. Even though Im not a floral print fan, I can still pair these with leather and studs outfits.

XOXO!,

GaGa Ooh La La!

Ga Ga ooh Lala! Want your bad romance! Its great dressing up presentably for work even if you only have a part time job. As much as I love Lady Gaga, because of her not being everybody and all her songs as well. She has a great voice as well. Ive always been calling her Madonna of this generation. I love how she has many songs about fashion.

My fashion tips for today are how to look presentable in an edgy and trendy way while going to work. You really want to appear trendy especially if your job has to do with fashion. I am a part time fashion advisor for now and I want to look presentable and stylish myself, but at the same time do the work well. So comfort is also very important.

I am wearing this Lady Gaga checkered shirt from Bugis Street that was only SGD$ 15.
My bib necklace is from TOPSHOP that was only SGD$ 9 on sale.
This new hem skirt is from ZARA that only costed me SGD$ 29.90 on sale. ZARA here in Singapore and Hong Kong are two of the most affordable branches besides the Middle East.

I decided to try a new style today by half tying my hair with a Lolita style ribbon.  This was only SGD$ 2 from Daiso.

Good luck with your careers!,

Down to earth tiger

Most of the time you need to be down to earth especially if you are taking the transportations and going around areas that are not very posh. Today I was at Bugis Street with my lovely College friend who was my very first friend at Raffles, Singapore. I decided to wear our jacket and bracelet of friendship today. I even bought the same shirt as her.   We had so much fun shopping at Bugis Street and checking out courses at LaSalle College of the Arts.   Be down to earth and just as fierce as a tiger so that people will never mess with you.

This tiger graphic tee is from Factorie that was only SGD$ 4.95 on sale.  This varsity jacket is from 77th street for only SGD$ 19.90 on sale.

This caged belt is from BCBG Max Azira that was on sale for only SGD$ 45. Its great treating yourself with these things once in a while.

This maxi skirt here is from UNIQLO back in the Philippines that was only PHP 200 on sale.

Lots of love,
